Alison Malmqvist has 20 years of experience developing and leading integrated public health programs in Africa and the Caribbean with a focus on designing, implementing, managing and monitoring social marketing and health communication programs for sexual and reproductive health, malaria prevention and child survival. She has served as PSI’s country representative in South Sudan, Haiti and Senegal, and as a technical advisor for several African country programs including the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kenya. She was responsible for launching PSI’s country program in South Sudan, introducing an innovative approach to bringing lifesaving products and information to people in challenging and complex settings. She most recently established and directed PSI’s Regional Social Enterprise in Southern Africa dedicated to improving access to quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health solutions for girls and women across the region.

Susy Barrios de Fernandez has been with PSI for 23 years, working previously as the Director for Finance, Administration and Human Resources.  In 2012, Susy was appointed as Executive Director of the Pan American Social Marketing Organization (PASMO) in Central America. Susy has several decades of experience across both enterprise, donor programming, operational management and the advent of PSI branch offices across Central America. Before working for PSI, Susy worked for seven years at USAID Guatemala on HIV/AIDS and maternal and child health programs.

A native of Guatemala, Susy has a degree in business administration from Universidad Rafael Landívar.

Jamie Ciesla has more than 16 years of experience managing complex programs and projects that focus on improving and expanding access to health services and products. She joined PSI in 2005, working for ten years in Haiti, the Democratic Republic of Congo and then Washington, DC. She has extensive experience leading teams, designing and managing programs, developing and overseeing budgets, driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle and working collaboratively with donors, local governments and partners. She has long-term experience in malaria prevention and case management in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). She speaks English and French.

As Director, Grants and Contracts at PSI, Karen Conley is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the grants and contracts compliance function and for reinforcing the organization’s compliance policies for PSI’s US and international offices.

Prior to joining PSI, Karen worked for CARE USA where she served as contracts and grants specialist, US government funding. Previously, at Save the Children, she served as the director of policy management where she oversaw global contracts and grants management.

Karen’s background is in contract negotiation, policy drafting and establishing processes for comprehensive regulatory, technical and financial oversight, with an emphasis on ensuring the correlation between technical program delivery and compliance with funder regulations and terms. She has extensive experience in providing strategic guidance on pre-award and post-award regulatory and compliance requirements and has a thorough understanding of the complexities involved in the management of awards in a decentralized, global structure.

Karen is well-versed in the contractual requirements of awards funded by USAID, the World Bank, Department of State, Department of Labor, U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, UN Agencies, European Commission and various foundations.

Karen holds a bachelor’s in French from Mount Holyoke College and a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School.

Marcie Cook currently serves as Vice President, Social Enterprise.
Previously serving as Regional Director of Asia and Eastern Europe at PSI, Marcie provided overall strategic guidance for the region’s seventeen countries with an annual operating budget of $100 million.
Marcie has experience working to support health markets in countries across Central and South East Asia and Africa. Before joining PSI, she held positions at the Institute for Media, Policy and Civic Society, the Story Workshop Educational Trust, University of Malawi and IBM, Canada LTD.
Marcie holds a master’s in global affairs with a concentration in international business from New York University.

As Director for Digital Health and Monitoring, Martin Dale is responsible for executing the institutional Digital Strategy focused on increasing access and personalized delivery of health information, products and services using digital solutions. In addition, he is responsible for powering data-driven performance improvement using routinely available data. He previously served as PSI’s Deputy Director within the Evidence Department, and has held other roles in the organization including at the field level working as PSI South Sudan as a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist. Martin joined PSI from the British Civil Service, where he worked as a government Senior Policy Analyst for a number of years. He earned a bachelor’s in Development Economics and a Masters in Demography, both from institutions in the United Kingdom.

As Director of Finance, Katie Dossinger leads teams that deliver on project financial management, global financial analysis, donor financial reporting and international offices’ finance operations. Prior to PSI, Katie served in various finance and accounting roles at International NGOs and USAID contractors. The early days of her international career were spent as an elementary school English teacher with the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan. Katie is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College where she studied mathematics and Russian linguistics.

Alan started his career consulting in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley. After a decade, he relocated to Paris where he continued his IT career while simultaneously pursuing advanced studies.

Alan holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from University College Dublin, Ireland; and an MBA from HEC Paris, France. He is an active Project Management Professional (PMP).
